The idea of "the still point" is probably more familiar to those who follow Eastern religions. But these three words came to me in a very personal way about a year ago when I happened upon T.S. Eliot's "The Four Quartets" and these particular lines of verse:
"At the still point of the turning world. Neither flesh nor fleshless;
Neither from nor towards; at the still point, there the dance is..."
Creativity requires us to pay attention, to get quiet, to be carefully observant, and allow ourselves to "get gone." Creativity needs to be fed and nurtured, but it also needs a safe place, free from judgement, where it can thrive.This blog will be a journal of sorts, focused on things that inspire me to create, as well as random revelations that result from my creative journeys .
Mostly, I hope it will connect me with like-minded people along the way.
